Plastic Solutions adds a special UV inhibiting additive during the molding process similar to those used by the automotive manufacturers. The Plastic Solution Racks have been fully tested (they conform to ASTM D2565-99 test criteria and performance) to insure the plastic maintains its structural integrity over the intended life of the rack, even in the most severe extremes such as Florida and Arizona.

 

 

For concrete structures, we provide mounting holes in the base of the plastic rack and include standard 5/16” zinc plated anchor bolts, flat washers and nuts to secure the structure directly to the concrete. We also offer stainless steel anchor bolts and hardware as an option. When attaching the pyramid racks to metal or plastic pipe, the Trash Rack comes with a simple and easy to install mounting kit. For Pyramid Racks 48” and smaller, we feel it is easier to unbolt the rack when access is required, so we do not offer an access door. We can install a lockable access door in the medium to large size Flat and Peak Roof Racks as well as Pyramid Racks that are 60” and larger. Access doors are optional and must be specified when ordering.

 

 

 

Yes, anti-vortex provisions can be added to our plastic racks. However, based on test results, we do not feel they are necessary, due to the size and design of our grid pattern. We can indeed supply this option when requested.

 

 

Our racks can project out as far as required. We can easily add to the number of grids on the sides of the racks for any custom application. Please call us with your specifications.

 

 

We use a structural plastic molding process that combines High Density Polyethylene with fiberglass reinforcement to produce a high strength-to-weight ratio rack that has 3 to 4 times greater rigidity than solid parts of the same material and weight. . In addition, extensive load testing has been done to insure the integrity of the Plastic Solution Trash Racks with consistently excellent results. The actual load rating is 2,030 lbs./sq. ft Depending on the span distance, some of our larger racks are reinforced with stainless steel to help reduce the amount of deflection in the center of the rack.
